I hope that this is true, and I’ll make sure to bring you guys some more information. And a big thanks to James Latty for bringing this article to my attention.
The two-part Game Boy Advance role-playing epic is not dead yet, as developers Camelot have re-affirmed their commitment to the Golden Sun series. Interviewed by Game Informer, Camelot’s founders – brothers Hiroyuki and Shugo Takahashi – have spoken their mind on the status of the series, last seen back in 2003. Their response:
Hiroyuki Takahashi: “First of all, I love that game and I love the world of Golden Sun. We think we have to make another one. We have to do it! Not just that we have to do it, but we want to do it. Nintendo has asked us to please make it. But at the same time we haven’t gotten around to making it. We’re not really sure why. (laughs)”
Shugo Takahashi: “As Camelot, we think of ourselves as being a company that makes RPGs. In an RPG you role-play as another character. In the sports games, you’re role playing as yourself. I want to let the fans know that in the center of our way of thinking the games that we’re making now are close to RPGs. The looks and the concepts might be totally different but the essence of the game contains the RPG. One of the reasons that we haven’t made Golden Sun is because there are so many fans of the game and we don’t want to do something half-assed. We want to give it the time it deserves.”
After all this faffing around making golf titles, we really hope that Camelot get down to making the Golden Sun title the series’ fans have been waiting so patiently for.

Is this true. Will there truly be a sequel to the epic tale of the world of Weyard? Or is this another hoax?
i believe this one is real, because it was posted by camelot officials. the only way it is fake is if the person is pretending to be them, which is illegal

I have Golden Sun 1 and 2 for on Gameboy Advance. I was suffer to wait to get Golden Sun 3 for DS and transfer my old game saved to new game pak to update. I want buy Golden Sun for Nintendo Wii too. I need this games. Let me know when games will release around in 2008 or late. I love Golden Sun games, and I can not stop buy for them. I want to buy new games! Keep coming!

They are finnaly comeing out with a new one, I can’t belive it. I still play both games, and they are the best RPGs I’ve EVER played, other then tabletop D&D. Heck, Alex is my #2 favorite villian, #1 game villian. He even beats Jaffar, from Fire Emblem, and Sephoroth.
Can’t wait to get my hands on Golden Sun DS.
FINALLY i have played and beaten both games dozens of times and if this is real i am so happy the only game i think has ever out done these to is Zelda: Ocarina of Time and thats N64 and its a classic. These games are awesome and SO deserve to be continued i hope they end up turning out like Sonic and Zelda in which they just keep coming.
